Through research, writing and form making, my design tells a story with sincerity. My objective is to deliver a visual narrative brimming with logic and clarity through a direct and inclusive path.
I am currently the Graphic Designer, Program Coordinator, Events, Marketing and Outreach for the Boston Synagogue. Though employed by a religious organization, the work I do is predominately cultural, connecting to the arts, cuisine, education/workshops, socially good activities, and community building. My tasks include web design and maintenance, social media, reels, content creation, marketing, cultural branding campaigns, flyers and triweekly newsletters
My multi-disciplinary workflow has nourished an appetite for decoding and storytelling. This begins with a research process that is unassuming, sympathetic, and pragmatic. Whether I am connecting the dots between contemporary and historical motifs or addressing a relevant subject, I am receptive to my target audience and the fluidity of their needs.
In addition to my work at The Boston Synagogue, I do freelance work including web design, logo design, and illustration. I was commissioned by Somerville Arts Council to design two posters for SomerStreet Fair, a biannual street fair that celebrates the arts and diverse community of Somerville, MA.
In 2021, I received my Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Boston University. While enrolled in graduate school, I interned for Northshore Magazine a luxury home magazine highlighting Northshore businesses and waterfront properties. I joined the branding team for the MFA Thesis Exhibition, producing motion graphics and social media assets and collaborated on catalog design and installation.
Before perusing my MFA, I was the Artistic Director and Illustrator for the Wheelchair Man Comic Series written by Mohammad Sayed, CEO of Rimpower Inc. Wheelchair Man is a semi-autobiographical story about a wheelchair using superhero. The purpose of this comics series is to elevate individuals with differences, challenging the status quo.
In addition to collaborative work, I enjoy oil painting, water color, bronze casting, animation and other artistic pursuits.
