Create a design that considers the idea of value within currency systems and beyond. What do you value and why? How do you assess worth? Consider how you participate in currency exchange on a daily basis. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your transactions?
Choose a text, or create your own text, that utilizes some instances of currency symbols and use it as the basis of your design.
Constraint: Poster must be purely type
I chose to Gundam Collectable Kit prices as my content. This choice was influenced by my thesis The Eye Guys and my general interest in toy collections.
The Gundam Brand uses Plavsky Condensed Bold as their primary typeface on packaging and user manuals.
From there, I did a price search on Gundam Kits finding a wide range which made for more interesting content. The price range is represented through scale.
System — Font size and line stroke reflect the price of the specific Gundam Kit.
